Most read Amazon books: Harry Potter books move back up – Amazon Adviser

GAASH, ISRAEL – JULY 16: An Israeli Harry Potter fan reaches for JK Rowling’s new book “Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince” as it goes on sale July 16, 2005 at the Tsomet Sefarim bookshop at Gaash in central Israel. Harry Potter hysteria is reaching fever pitch as the sixth volume on the boy wizard was released worldwide tonight, at the exact same time Rowling unveiled her latest bestseller at one minute past midnight at a special ceremony at Edinburgh Castle. The Harry Potter books take over the Top 3 again on the list of most read Amazon books. Take a look at the full list from Sept. 12 to 18.
When it comes to the most-read books, the Harry Potter books continue to remain high on the list. They are extremely popular for adults and children alike. After spending some time at the top, Billy Summers by Stephen King lost the top spot during the last week, leading to three of the Harry Potter books claiming the Top 3 spots.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone took over the top spot. It’s never surprising when the first book on the list is at the top. It’s the introduction into the world, and there are always people looking to start off the collection.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire claimed second and third place respectively.
There were a few new entries on the list of most read Amazon books last week. Forgotten in Death by J.D. Robb was the first, making its way to the list in 13th place.
After entering the list of most sold books for the first time the previous week, the first The Wheel of Time book entered this list. It’s not surprising The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan has become a popular book. The Amazon series is almost here, and people naturally want to read the source material first.
Then there’s He Who Fights with Monsters by Shirtaloon. The audiobook made its way in 19th place.
